Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas (Bacharelado) pela UFRJ, RJ, Brasil (2010). Mestre em Zoologia pelo Museu Nacional, RJ, Brasil (2013). Doutora em Biodiversidade e Biologia Evolutiva pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2017), com um período de doutorado sanduíche na Universidade do Kansas (KU), Lawrence, KS, EUA, sob orientação do Prof. Dr. William E. Duellman e Prof. Dra. Linda Trueb. Vinculada a área de Zoologia, especificamente Herpetologia. Atua nas áreas da Taxonomia, Sistemática e Bioacústica de anfíbios anuros. Atualmente é pesquisadora associada do Museu Nacional, UFRJ.
